The MFC Professional Vision X Software

It's Everyone's Favorite Site

Thanks to everyone who sent email during the last two months, and who filled out the survey. I just wanted to take a little bit of bandwidth and share with all of you some of the comments the site's been getting . . .

  • Great site. Real cool look. Keep up the good work.

  • Great site! Love the mfc-l archive. Any thoughts on archiving comp.os.ms-windows.programmer.tools.mfc or microsoft.public.vc.mfc? I look forward to putting this site, and you experts :-) to good use.

  • I wish you well in developing this 'site' as I believe it will become an indispensable resource for me.

  • Very well organized. It would be very nice if you added a search engine to the MFC mailing list archive so we could search in the content of the message as well. Listing them by topic is very helpful though.

  • Great!! Your pages are clear, easy to read and to browse. Best continuations!

  • This is the best site i've seen for a long time! Keep on this way.

  • Looks like this will be an excellent site!! I'll be telling all the co-workers about this one...

  • Thanks for the great effort to make this available to all MFCers.

  • Just glancing at a few pages, I feel already that this could become a important and even influential site. Excellent concepts!

  • Thanks for organizing this web site, it looks GREAT.

  • I liked it so much that I made it my homepage!!!

  • This site is great. If you can keep the thing working, it's a gold mine, as far as I'm concerned. :) Hell, I'd even pay to use it.

  • This site looks like a great concept. I hope you keep up the good work as this site should be very useful!! Thanks!

  • Great to find a site that has something to offer, instead of a bunch of splash screens. I'd be more interested in your Profesional listing, but am not really in the job market (happily). Plus, I am so new at this, don't think anyone would want me for a couple months. Keep it coming.

  • Go on!

  • I think this is a great idea.

  • Looks *GREAT*. Keep up the good work!!

  • This looks like it will become a really great site, especially once the job search stuff comes into full swing. The discussion threads should be excellent - they will address some really practical questions! I'll be back often...

  • I love the layout of this site! It's nice and simple, clean, has nice graphics, and easy to read. I usually don't like visiting ugly sites that often, keep up the excellent work! (and I like those happy faces). The things I'm most interested in at the moment are the newbie stuff since I haven't been programming that often.

  • Great!!

  • This is the first time a have come across your site, and so far I have liked it alot. I think it is a very good base for any professional who deals with Windows programming and MFC at any level. Since I am new to MFC, I would like to see more coverage for people like me, perhaps a user group for beginners.

  • Looks like this site will have significant MFC/programming information, something sorely needed from what I have found.

  • The site looks cool. The most important thing about the internet for ME is that it offers technical information, this is where my focus for it's use will remain. Thanks for a cool site. (It's already bookmarked)

  • I've been on MFC-L for a while now and find it much more valuable than the USENET groups or CIS forums. If this site proves the same level of interaction on common problems then it will be well worth my participation. I find groups like this much better than Microsoft's feeble attempts at developer support (or should it simply be called developer hindrance in their case?).

  • I have been waiting for a WEB site exactly like this for a long time....

  • Looks very interesting and a potentially superb source of info. I hope that will be plenty of source code sample available for download.

  • Looks real good. How long have you been up? This is a must-see site. I've already distributed its presence here... good luck!

  • Great idea, and I hope you can get enough advertising to keep it afloat. What I've seen outlined looks very interesting - a good range of topics covered. The mfc-l archive alone is worth the trip (can't wait for the indexing!!). I think what will really make or break this site is the quality of advice If you can attract smart people who can give good answers, I think this will be a popular place.

  • Looks good -- will keep up with this site.

  • It is really nice to see an active, comprehensive site on MFC.

  • You guys are really doing a good thing. I cannot tell you how many times I've searched for visual programming sites and only come across VB stuff. Your site is going to be a valuable resource to alot of desperately seeking MFC newbies and old-timers. Great Job!

  • Good luck! This site could be a real asset to the Windows programming community.

  • This is a great resource! It's about time that an MFC and Visual C site is on the 'net...

  • I am relatively new to MFC. I have been working part time trying to learn it. I have to admit it requires a full time effort, but, a VERY basic tutorial, or Example, would help people like me that are completely lost; but, have all the desire to do so. Thank you very much for the wealth of information in your site.

  • Thank YOU for providing the info on this site!

  • Having MFC-L archives, plus MS knowledge base, plus many other things on one site is great! As an "old newbie", I am very pleased with the "newbie tips", explaining the pieces of code that each MFC programmer will have to write one day. Congratulations !

  • Your site looks promising so far. If it is updated regularly and contains useful techo info then I will be a frequent visitor.

  • Just found out about your site. It looks very impressive and useful. Keepup the good work and looking forward more and more technical resources for MFC professionals. Would like to contribute to this site as much as I can in the future - Thanks

  • I am a VB/Access programmer moving to VC++/MFC. This site will be a fantastic resource for information. Thanks!

  • I think this site is one of the best (if not the best) for MFC programmer. Unfortunatelly, writing in C++/MFC is only one of my jobs (other is Visual Basic). To be short: really cool.

  • At present I am overwhelmed by the amount of information especially the archives of mfc-l. Keep it up!

  • A relief to find a competent site NOT provided by MS! Outstanding job.

  • I am one whom you would probably classify as a newbie (maybe a permanent newbie). I would like to learn MFC and am doing so. Its just so painfully slow. In divulging this, I how you keep us newbie's in mind. Many time on CompuServe and the News Groups I feel people like me are either ignored or yelled at for asking dumb questions. I will admit that many are dumb, but I don't know how else we will learn unless we ask. If the content you present here continues and this site lives up to its billing, then this will definitely be the place to hang out for me.

  • Sounds very useful. Count me in!

  • I recently switched from OWL to MFC and really enjoy all I can find about MFC. So far I like your page. I plan on telling my co-workers and other people I know in the industry. Keep up the good work.

  • You should have a listing of freeware and shareware MFC components. I am very envious of all the Delphi stuff out there. I am working on a few components that I would give away as freeware. A Directory Tree and Drive Box. I hope the idea will catch on. Thanks for the great site!

  • This site definitely looks interesting, though this is the first time I've been here. I look forward to reguarly visiting here.

  • Great site, I've already gotten some valuable information from it and plan to visit it regularly.

  • Better than I expected from the ads. I'd expected a come-on for consultants. Since I have no desire to be a consultant, I wasn't interested. Instead I find some discussion of real interest.

  • Cool Site Man!
