What's New with the Clock?

From version 1.7.8 to version 1.8 (April 21, 1999)

  • Added:  Internet Atomic Clock synchronization (on-demand and automatic options).
  • Added:  Y2K Countdown display option - shows the number of days until 1/1/2000.
  • Added:  Day Number display option - shows the day number within the year.
  • Added:  Draw Borders option.
  • Added:  Lock alignment option - "Locked: Upper Right (Menu Bar)".
  • Added:  Web Sites menu item.
  • Changed:  Reminder is now the top item in the Clock's pull-down menu.
  • Removed:  "Programs" sub-menu. This has been replaced with the previous two changes.
  • Changed:  The Reminder and the Clock are now bundled together and not available separately.


From version 1.7.7 to version 1.7.8 (July 25, 1998)

  • Fixed:  Now correctly reports disk space on large drives beyond 2GB.
  • Changed:  The "Start screen Saver Now" feature works instantly instead of delaying 5-10 seconds.


From version 1.7.6 to version 1.7.7 (May 19, 1998)

  • Fixed:  Date & time are now retrieved a different way to fix the time zone / daylight savings problems a few users have been having.
  • Fixed:  Settings to show paging / resources / RAM are now saved & read correctly.
  • Changed:  Lock position now defaults to upper-right.
  • Changed:  Date and day of week are now displayed by default.
  • Changed:  Now using a "new-look" installer.
  • Changed:  Uninstall is now accessed via Windows' Add/Remove Programs feature.

  • Added:  The clock/reminder now supports executing programs at schedule times.
  • Added:  Ship's bells chime option.
  • Removed:  All DigiDay calendars from the "Programs" menu, since they have been discontinued.
  • Removed:  All references to the DigiDay Logon program, since it was also discontinued.
  • Removed:  Auto-logon feature.
  • Note:  The 16-bit version of the clock has been discontinued.


From version 1.6 to version 1.7 (Oct 1, 1997)

  • Added:  Randomized talking chimes.
  • Added:  Avoid Focus menu option.
  • Added:  ScreenThemes is now on the "Programs" menu.
  • Added:  The clock now takes on the colors appropriate to your current Windows coloring scheme.
  • Added:  We've added a new clock logo and now let you choose which one you want displayed.
  • Changed:  Restructured the main menu, placing all the "Show" items in a sub-menu.
  • Fixed:  Calculations for memory available are now more accurate.
  • Fixed:  Talking chimes for some users didn't work properly.
  • Fixed:  Some users were having focus problems when the clock was active.
  • Fixed:  We've improved how the clock invokes your browser when necessary.
  • Fixed:  For some users, the clock's voice was off by one hour.

  • Fixed:  Under Win 95, the clock will no longer mysteriously occasionally disappear.
  • Fixed:  Bug that prevented WAV files from playing properly for some users.
  • Note:  The clock no longer supports 16-bit Windows. We are, however, still offering 16-bit version 1.5.
